INDIANAPOLIS — A Utah man who attends Brigham Young University in Provo won big during the Big Ten Championship Saturday night.

According to a press release from Dr. Pepper, Luke Newey of Provo won the $100,000  tuition grand prize from the Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway.

Newey and other contestants were tasked with throwing a football into an oversized Dr. Pepper can replica, and he completed more throws than any of the others to win big on live TV during the halftime show.

The man’s journey to victory began when he submitted a video online at DrPepper.com, where he explained why he deserved the chance to compete for the tuition money.
