PROVO, Utah – Police have posted surveillance footage of a suspect who stole a jar full of tips from a coffee shop in the Provo area Sunday, and they are hoping the public can help them catch the man.

Provo Police Department shared surveillance footage shot at Coffee Pod, 426 W. 1230 North, in Provo Sunday evening, and a man can be seen interacting with the employee before grabbing the cash and fleeing once he was alone at the counter.

A message from the coffee shop posted on Facebook stated, “He violated one of our loved employees Paulina by stealing her tip jar on Sunday Oct 26 at 7:20 pm. Please share this video and help us find this loser.”

The footage is available above, and the man can be seen wrapping a checkered jacket around the tip jar and fleeing the building once other customers and the employee had left the area or turned their backs.

Anyone who recognizes the man or who spots him is encouraged to call Provo police. Tipsters should call 801-852-6210.
