Man who sexually assaulted BYU student sentenced up to 15 years in prison

PROVO, Utah — A man who admitted to sexually assaulting a BYU student was sentenced Tuesday to up to 15 years in prison.

Cyr Delinos Narcisse, 23, will serve up to 15 years in prison on charges of forcible sexual abuse and burglary.

He admitted to entering the Wyview apartment of a BYU student in March and groping her.

When she tried to fight him off, he slammed her head into a door handle.

Narcisse was given credit for 208 days served in jail, and apologized to the victim in court.

She declined to make a statement.
