LEHI, Utah – A family is in mourning after a relative hit a toddler with a van at a Lehi home Thursday night.
Officials said a 15-month-old girl was playing in the yard when a family member accidentally hit the child while driving away from the home.
Authorities found the toddler in critical condition and called in a medical helicopter but it was too late.
The toddler died at the scene.
Officials said they are investigating this case as an accident.
