See where Utah ranks in list of best and worst states for teachers

SALT LAKE CITY – A new study just published has ranked the most “teacher-friendly” state in the US.

According to wallethub.com, Utah has scored a spot on the coveted “best states for teachers” list.

Our state comes in at No. 9 overall as the best place for teachers to work.

Utah earned the No. 1 spot in “opportunity and competition rank” but came in at No. 43 for “academic and work environment rank.”

So what is the top state for teachers? Wyoming.

It’s closely followed by Pennsylvania and Minnesota.

North Carolina got the poorest marks earning the title of worst state for teachers in US.

Mississippi, West Virginia and South Dakota also came in close to the bottom.
