Man arrested after allegedly stabbing, carjacking Good Samaritan in Millcreek

MILLCREEK, Utah – Authorities have arrested a suspect accused of stabbing and carjacking a man in Millcreek.

Unified officers said they found a 29-year-old man at a gas station near 39th S. and Wasatch Blvd. with multiple cuts to his hands and arms at about 1 a.m.

The victim said he picked up another man, 20-year-old Gabriel Urry, at another gas station near 33rd S. and 20th E. when he asked for a ride.

Police said the victim thought he was just doing something nice.

The suspect then pulled out a knife and told the victim he was taking the car.

After allegedly cutting the victim, the suspect drove away.

Investigators spotted the stolen car driving off the road near Juniper Dr.

Shortly after, authorities found the car abandoned in the middle of I-215 near 48th S.

Police arrested the suspect near Wasatch Blvd. and will be facing multiple charges including aggravated robbery.

Authorities said the victim’s injuries were minor.

The suspect could be facing more charges as the investigation continues.
