Before talking about my first real test as far as my overall fitness, I have to say I had a blast hanging out with the Clown Alley at the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus. I got interact with some fun folks and get a taste of what they do daily.

My first real physical test since my #LosingForLife journey began was Wednesday afternoon during the Media Utah Jazz practice and scrimmage. I joined sports writers and reporters from TV and radio stations in a practice session to see what it is like at the NBA level.

I was very proud of the fact that I didn’t give up or feel overly strained or fatigued. I was teamed up with Tony Parks, Britton Johnson, and Nicole Hernandez and am happy to say we won four out of the seven shooting contests.

We warmed up, stretched, learned offensive plays and processes and even ran sprints. It was cool to receive instruction from Coach Quinn Snyder and his staff—especially when it comes to the three things they believe in: Pass, Purpose and Pace.

Now the morning after I am extremely sore, but I am not experiencing anything out of the ordinary and don’t have any injuries. See the video below for footage from the event, which also included FOX 13 Sports’ Morgan Vance and Jeff Rhineer.
