SALT LAKE CITY - Officials are searching for suspects after three people were assaulted in three different incidents overnight.

The attacks started at about 12:40 a.m. when an 18-year-old man was walking near 500 W. and 200 S. and he encountered two men.

Police said the men asked the teen what he was doing, suddenly punched him in the face and then ran.

Officers said about 10 minutes later and a few blocks north, a 22-year-old man was in his car when two men jumped on his vehicle, shattered the windshield and tried pulling him out of the car.

The victim fought back and was stabbed in the head near his ear.

The third incident involved a 39-year-old homeless man.

Authorities said he was walking west of Gateway when two men jumped him, beat him and slashed his arm.

Police describe the suspects as two Latino men in their late teens or early 20s.

Both men are of average height with short, dark brown hair.

One suspect was wearing a red t-shirt and red baseball cap.

The second suspect was wearing a dark-colored shirt and a black baseball cap.
