BOUNTIFUL, Utah – A man convicted of attempted murder outside a Bountiful gas station is expected in court Wednesday.
Witnesses told officers 50-year-old Stepan Badikyan tried to run over his wife and then stab her outside a gas station near 4th North and 5th West in Bountiful back in May.
Police said they believe Badikyan was arguing with his wife about getting a divorce.
Officers said earlier that day he slashed her and cut himself with a box cutter.
On the way to the hospital, police said the situation escalated when the woman jumped out of the car.
