Suspects slash man’s face during attempted robbery at West Valley City store

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah – A man is recovering after being attacked in his car in a Walmart parking lot.

Officers said a 52-year-old man just finished shopping and got into his car at about 11 p.m. near 3200 S. and 56th W. in West Valley City.

Police said two men approached his car and demanded money and other items.

The man’s window was rolled down and when he tried to resist, one of the suspects slashed his cheek with a knife.

The victim drove himself home after the incident and his wife took him to the hospital.

The hospital called police about the incident.
