SALT LAKE CITY — A man was cut across the back after attempting to break into a Salt Lake City business early Saturday morning, police say.

At approximately 3 a.m., Salt Lake City police responded to Vermeer Rocky Mountain, 850 S. Redwood Road, on a reported stabbing.

When officers arrived they found a man had a cut across his back after a piece of glass from the business’ window fell onto him.

Police say the man was attempting to break into the building when the piece of glass fell on him.

The suspect was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Police are waiting to file charges until the man is released.

Police say the window was the only damage done to the business. Vermeer Rocky Mountain rents and sells construction equipment.
