SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Peruvian Association is inviting the Utah community out to celebrate Peru’s Independence Day at a festival scheduled for Saturday in downtown Salt Lake City.
The annual Peruvian Festival will be held at the Gallivan Center, 239 S. Main St., from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
According to a press release from event organizers, the festival will feature Peruvian dances, live music, art and food. The release stated the Peruvian community in Utah represents the second largest immigrant group in the state, with about 40,000 people.
