Greek Peak Fire continues to burn near Enterprise

ENTERPRISE, Utah — A wildfire near Enterprise continues burn consuming about 840 acres, fire officials said Saturday.

According to the Bureau of Land Management Arizona, the Greek Peak Fire is located about six miles southwest of the Enterprise reservoir. The fire began Wednesday at approximately 6:25 p.m. The cause of the blaze is a lightning strike, officials say.

The fire is at zero-percent containment. There are no structures being threatened.

No closures are currently in effect, but officials are asking people to keep the area clear for fire crews to work.

Currently on scene there are four Hot Shot crews, eight smoke jumpers, one helicopter and one air tanker.

The flames are burning through cheat grass, mixed brush, pinyon/juniper trees and black brush.
