EMERY COUNTY, Utah — A Huntington man was arrested after shooting a woman outside a Huntington home Sunday, according to officials Monday.

At approximately 4:17 p.m., Emery County Sheriff’s Office dispatch received a call from the victim saying she had been shot by the suspect Chad Robert Snyder.

The woman told dispatchers Snyder, 36, was inside the residence with a gun, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.

Medical crews and deputies were dispatched to the home where Snyder was taken into custody, the release stated.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where she is undergoing multiple surgeries to repair damage from a single gunshot wound, according to the release.

The gunshot wound was to the upper torso, officials say.
