PORTLAND – The teen gunman who allegedly killed one student and then himself reportedly wrote in his diary he planned to kill classmates he called “sinners.”

Jared Padgett was reportedly a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and KGW News in Portland reports that police found the boy’s diary while searching his home; police said Padgett wrote about a plan to kill students at the school he called sinners.

KGW News reports that the diary did not provide specifics about the plan for the shooting, and there were not specific students or teachers named. Padgett allegedly entered Reynolds High School Tuesday with an AR-15 type rifle, a handgun, ammunition and a knife. He allegedly killed14-year-old Emilio Hoffman in the boy’s locker room and shot and injured a teacher before taking his own life.
