Video: Man wearing GoPro has terrifying shark encounter in Australia

In this video a man straps on a GoPro camera to make a leap from some rocks into the ocean. As the man comes up above water he hears his friends shouting from above, and seconds later he gets very, very close to a large shark.

According to the video’s description on YouTube, the encounter was with a great white shark near Manly Jump Rock in Sydney Harbour.

    Yeah this is fake. Same exact footage from another video.
    PLOT TWIST while making the fake video it would have been funny if he saw a real shark.

      When the guy walks around the fence you can see a shark on the bottom right hand corner. The other guy is watching his friend jump into the water. Now he is looking into the water when he yells shark a few seconds after the guy hits the water. How do you think it is fake?

    The male news reporter is not to educated when it comes to the ocean/ aquatic sea life.I guess that should be expected being that this report is coming from Utah.The male news caster said that the individual shot out of the water like a penguin……Uhhhhh not quite pal. In fact completely contrary. The individual’s experience saved his own life. He kept his back to the shore and his face in the water. Anytime the shark tried to approach it was met with the individual frantically shooing the shark away from him. As the shark was at the distant part of its “Circle” the man swam in little bits towards shore. Then you see him stick his face in the water again and shortly after you see the shark approach very closely to the man. If that man was not paying attention to the shark at that moment he likely would have received an investigatory bite from the shark. As the shark turns to circle again the guy is close enough to shore to make a break for it. It really is amazing the type of experiences we are able to see/share on a regular basis from innovations in technology.That really is amazing footage. The natural response for people is to haul butt out of the water and those are often the ones sharks like to do a taste test on.

    You realize that he jumped from the cliff, now if you think for a sec.. It would be obvious that he would be able to see is friend clearly..

The shark jumps from being on the right/middle of the screen to suddenly coming in from the left. (comes from the splice) Also the shark heads off into the deep sea to the left (where the cliff is at) as the dude pops up to the cliff/shore right in front of him…
