LOGAN –A 28-year-old man has been booked into Cache County Jail Tuesday in connection with a child reportedly found chained to a bed frame in a Logan home, according to officials.
Sammie Hodges was booked on four misdemeanor child abuse charges.
At approximately 10:59 a.m. the Logan Police Department responded to an anonymous complaint of child abuse in the area of 800 North and 1400 East. The complainant told police that a 6-year-old boy was chained up while his parent went to work, according to a press release from Logan Police.
When officers arrived on scene, they discovered a 6-year-old boy chained by his ankle to a bed frame, the release stated.
The child is now in the custody with the Division of Child and Family Services.
