WENDOVER --A person died early Monday morning after being run over by several vehicles on I-80 near the Utah/Nevada border.
The incident occurred around 4 a.m. near mile marker 1. Utah Highway Patrol officials originally thought the victim was an animal.
Troopers do not know why the person was on the road.
At about 10:20 Monday morning, the Utah Department of Transportation reported I-80 has reopened.
