OGDEN, Utah – Fire crews responded to a structure fire in Ogden Saturday afternoon, and the residents of the home have been displaced.
The fire was at 3570 Jefferson Avenue, and crews were dispatched just before 3 p.m.
According to information from Ogden City officials, crews arrived at the home to find heavy smoke and flames emanating from the structure. One resident was outside of the home and told crews there may be another person inside.
Personnel searched the home, and it was determined that second resident was not at home and that no one was inside the building. The fire was extinguished, and about 20 firefighters and three trucks responded to the scene.
Damages are estimated at about $50,000, and the residents are staying with friends. There were no injuries reported.
