WEST JORDAN --A man is in critical condition after he was hit by a car in West Jordan early Friday morning.
Mario Cisneros, 25, was the victim of a hit and run in the area of 7300 South and Jordan Landing Boulevard.
At approximately 1:45 a.m. a motorist saw a shoe in the road in the area of the accident. West Jordan Police say the man saw Cisneros soon after, turned around and called police.
The victim was transported to Intermountain Medical Center. Police say it is too early to tell if Cisneros will survive his injuries.
Police say the victim was jaywalking in the area when the accident occurred.
Police believe there will be heavy front-end damage to the vehicle that hit Cisneros. Anyone with information is asked to call 801-840-4000.
