PROVO -- Crowds gathered outside of the Provo City Center Temple Monday to watch as construction crews placed the Angel Moroni on top of the structure.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints constructed the temple at the site where a fire destroyed the Provo Tabernacle in 2010. The tabernacle’s brick walls, which were mostly intact after the fire, were incorporated into the new temple.
