OREM, Utah --The search for a 3-year-old boy ended Monday afternoon after the toddler was located less than a block away from his house.

Kipton Beatse was home with his mother when he disappeared from their front yard. Police say the boy walked into the front door of a home in the area of 575 South and 1450 West and locked the door behind him.

After three hours of searching, the toddler was eventually discovered when three children came home from school to find Kipton walking out the home of their front door.

"I'm very glad he's home -- it was a long three hours but we're OK, he's OK," said Kipton's mother Tara. "It was incredible the amount of people who came out and helped -- I'm glad he's home."

A door-to-door search as well K-9s and a medical helicopter were used to help locate Kipton.

The home Kipton was at was the only house not searched because it was locked.

Seriously! Because she went inside for a minute to check on her sick kids she wasn’t watching him? Better then most parents these days that just give there kids electronics to entertain them at least she had them outside. .. don’t be so quick to judge steve!

What a blessing to have Kipton back safe with his parents. Great ending to a Horrible story. My prayers and thoughts go out to that family as they hold each other a little tighter today!
