Multiple bank robbery suspect continues to elude police

SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the “ski bum bandit,” suspected of robbing five banks in Salt Lake County.

The suspect has robbed the following banks:

University Federal Credit Union

7220 S. Highland Drive on Jan. 24

Health Care Credit Union

769 E. South Temple on Feb. 2

University Federal Credit Union

3088 S. 1300 East on Feb. 19

Zions Bank

7015 S. Highland Drive on Feb. 22

University Federal Credit Union

7720 S. Highland Drive on March 11

The suspect is described as a white man with an average height and weight. Police say he is considered armed and dangerous.

Those with information on the suspect are asked to call 801-799-3000. The case number is 14-19202.

Anonymous tips may be sent by text to 274637. The text should start with “TIPSLCPD” then include any relevant information.
