OGDEN, Utah – Police are stepping up patrols and school district officials are urging caution after students reported they had seen an individual committing a lewd act.

More than one student reported seeing a man possibly engaging in lewd behavior in a neighborhood on Ogden’s East Bench, according to information from the Ogden Police Department.

Officials did not elaborate on the nature of the alleged lewd act. Several descriptions of the suspect have been given, but police said the most accurate description indicates the suspect is an Indian or Hispanic male in his early ‘20s with a thin build and clean-cut, dark hair.

Police said the man’s vehicle has been described as a dark green or darker-colored vehicle of an unknown make and model.

Ogden police officials said they are working closely with school principals in the area, as well as officials with the Ogden School District. Police officials said they are reallocating various resources to the area.

Anyone with information regarding the incidents or the suspect is asked to call police at (801) 629-8221.
