Planned power outage scheduled for Saturday impacts hundreds in Cache Valley

CACHE VALLEY, Utah – Officials with Rocky Mountain Power have told several hundred people they will be without power for about six hours Saturday as maintenance is performed.

Jeff Hymas with Rocky Mountain Power said the outages impact about 600 homes and businesses in Cache Valley in and around the towns of Millville and Providence, and he said the outage is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. and continue until about 3 p.m.

Hymas said crews will be replacing power poles and carrying out other maintenance work. The high temperature in the area Saturday is forecast to be about 35 degrees.
