Vigil held for victims in apparent murder-suicide

SPANISH FORK, Utah -- Friends and family held a vigil Saturday night in memory of the family killed in an apparent murder-suicide in Spanish Fork.

More than one hundred people showed-up to pay their respects and share their favorite memories of Kelly Boren and her two children, Jaden and Haley.

Police believe Joshua Boren killed his wife, two children and mother-in-law before turning the gun on himself.

Friends who spoke at the vigil said Kelly Boren was first a loving mom, but always a caring friend.

"We were instantly best friends right then and there, and we've  been glued to the hip ever since, and now everyone is like, ‘How are you doing?’ And I'm like, ‘My hip is broken. And I don't think it's ever going to heal," said Riri Whiting.

A viewing and funeral will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday in Layton. For many people at the vigil, they said it was their only chance to say goodbye.
