LOGAN PEAK — A man had to be resuscitated after being buried by an avalanche on Logan Peak, officials said Monday.

The victim was riding snowmobiles with two friends when the avalanche occurred in Providence Canyon. According to officials at the Utah Avalanche Center, the man was off his sled and attempted to run for nearby trees.

The man was completely buried. His father was able to find him and dig him out because the victim’s red gloves were visible, officials said.

Although the victim needed to be resuscitated, he had no other significant injuries, officials said.

The man was taken to an area hospital and later released.
