WVCPD ask for public’s help in locating person of interest in home invasion robbery

WEST VALLEY CITY — West Valley City Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man in connection with a home invasion robbery last month that left one person dead.

On Oct. 30 officers were called to a suspicious circumstance at 7133 W. Chula Drive. It was found that three armed men attempted a takeover style home invasion robbery that failed, resulting in the death of one of the suspects, Robert Ebere, 29.

Police are searching for Michael Gaines Caldwell as person of interest in connection to this case.

Caldwell, 25, is a black man, 6 feet and 3 inches tall and 190 pounds.

He is believed to be armed and dangerous, police said.
