SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — A tractor hauling a semitrailer caught fire on I-80 Wednesday morning.
Utah Highway Patrol troopers said the tractor’s engine caught fire near a rest stop in Echo Canyon near milepost 169.
The driver of the tractor was uninjured.
Officers initially closed I-80 westbound lanes while they assessed the damage. The westbound lanes have since reopened as of 8:30 a.m.
