SALT LAKE CITY — A man was killed late Sunday night after getting hit by a vehicle in a Salt Lake City street, officials said Monday.
At approximately 11:04 p.m. a man wearing dark clothing crossed at 900 W. 150 South when he was hit by an SUV traveling south, Salt Lake City police officials said. The victim was reportedly not in a crosswalk.
The motorist reportedly left the area momentarily but soon returned to the scene and has been cooperative with police. No arrests have been made but the accident is still under investigation.
Accident investigators and the Medical Examiner’s office are currently working to identify the victim.
