MORGAN COUNTY, Utah -- A tanker truck fire shut down I-84 near mile marker 108 in Weber Canyon Thursday morning, and the road wasn't reopened until just after 8 p.m.

John Gleason with the Utah Department of Transportation said the accident happened around 8 a.m., and it involved two tanker trucks. He said one truck had several thousand gallons of diesel fuel, which spilled onto the road.

The driver of one of the trucks was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

I-84 westbound was closed from mile post 103 to 112. The closure went on until about 8 p.m., as portions of the road had to be repaired.
