FARMINGTON, Utah — A dump truck crash blocked traffic at the northbound entrance from I-15 to Highway 89 in Farmington Monday morning.

Utah Highway Patrol troopers said the truck was traveling on I-15 and veered to the right, then tipped on its side and spilled asphalt on the roadway, forcing officials to close the road as crews cleaned up the scene.

The entrance to Highway 89 was closed for about two hours and reopened around 1:40 p.m.

The driver, a 53-year-old man, was treated at the scene and released. His passenger, a 32-year-old man, sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

Both occupants of the truck were wearing seatbelts.
