DAVIS COUNTY, Utah – A man is in serious condition and northbound traffic was delayed on I-15 Sunday after an accident involving a car and a motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a hospital in serious condition. There were no other injuries reported.

Officials with the Unified Police Department said the motorcycle driver is a man in his ’50s. Officials said the man made an improper lane change and hit loose gravel, which caused him to lose control and sideswipe a car.

According to information from South Davis Metro Fire, the far right lanes of I-15 northbound were closed around 3:30 p.m. due to the accident, which caused traffic to be backed up into Salt Lake County. The traffic cleared up after the scene cleared later Sunday afternoon.
