LAYTON, Utah — A man was arrested Tuesday night in Layton after he allegedly shook his girlfriend’s infant daughter.
Davis Hospital staff said Tyler Ryan Geary, 25, and his girlfriend brought an unresponsive 11-month-old child to the emergency room Tuesday. The child’s symptoms were consistent with shaken baby syndrome.
Geary was arrested and now faces child abuse charges.
The child was transported to Primary Children’s Medical Center where she is being treated for life threatening injuries.
