RIVERTON, Utah – Kendra Gill has given up her crown as Miss Riverton 2013 after she was charged with throwing homemade bombs.

The charges stem from an incident on August 2, when Gill and three friends threw the homemade bombs at houses and people near 13800 South and 4100 West. The teens said they were just trying to frighten some of their friends as a prank.

Each of the four teens faces felony charges for possessing the bombs.

Riverton City released the following statement in response to the issue: “Prior to the alleged incidents of August 2, 2013, Kendra had done a good job during the short time she served as Miss Riverton.”
