SOUTH SALT LAKE – A woman was found dead in her cell at the Salt Lake County Metro Jail.
Salt Lake County Sheriff’s officers say Alexa C. Hamme was found Sunday by a corrections housing officer. She was unresponsive and there were no signs of trauma or foul play.
Hamme was booked into jail on June 24 on charges of possession of amphetamine, possession of heroin, child endangerment, and had warrants for controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
Her death is under investigation. A medical examiner will issue a report.
