Parking free in SLC as meters remain broken

Posted

SALT LAKE CITY – Parking meters in Salt Lake City are still broken, which means parking remains free in those places.

Art Raymond, spokesman for the Salt Lake City Mayor’s Office, said that the Saturday free parking rules are in effect for all metered stalls. This means parking is free, but there is a 2-hour limit.

Raymond said they are working to correct the problem, but they have not zeroed in on the cause yet. He said officials will be working through the holiday to get the meters back online.

The problem with the meters was first discovered last weekend.
