WEST JORDAN – Jordan Valley Medical Center celebrated the grand opening of their new orthopedic center Monday.
The building took 9 months to build and has 22 private patient rooms, specially trained staff and physical therapy services.
Chris Johnson, chief nursing officer for the Jordan Valley Medical Center, said they’ve grown a great deal since they first opened their doors.
“Started with about 50 beds in the hospital here in West Jordan and have grown to about 183 licensed beds,” he said. “So we’re excited to continue to grow our service lines and really to be a full community hospital.”
Johnson said he is very excited because they have never had a complete unit focused solely on orthopedic care at their location until now.
