FARMINGTON, Utah – Crews rescued a man who fell into a creek while hiking and suffered a traumatic injury Sunday.
The man fell near the Davis Creek Trail sometime around 2 p.m., and rescue crews had to use a helicopter to hoist the man to safety.
Deputy Sorensen, Davis County Sheriff’s Office, said the rescue was a complicated one.
“It was in a very challenging spot,” he said. “It was right in the creek. Some of our guys had to stabilize him while they were actually standing in the creek bed."
