SOUTH JORDAN, UTAH – A day care facility is facing thousands of dollars in damages after someone ransacked and robbed them.

The incident occurred at the Lotsa Tots Child Care Center, located at 10447 South and 1585 West.

Director Sheena Rose said the center faces around $20,000 in damages. The suspect stole several items from the center, including checks, flat screen TVs, a safe and computers. The suspect also ransacked and damaged the building.

Rose said they will pick up the pieces and keep moving forward.

"[We're] cleaning the daycare as much as we can, and trying to get it going again,” she said. “We have been open for 22 years now and have never had anything like this happen, so it's really hard to try and keep going through it, but we are going to get it going again."

The day care center has been cleaned up, and they will be ready to resume business Monday morning.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery is encouraged to contact the South Jordan Police Department.

The day care center released surveillance photos showing the man they believe to be responsible for the crime. See the gallery below.
