3-alarm fire displaces two Millcreek families

MILLCREEK, Utah — A fire that began in the carport of a Millcreek home spread to the rest of the house and caused significant damage to another, displacing two families.

The fire began around 12:30 Thursday morning at 4394 S 730 E. That home was a total loss.

A second fire crew was called to fight the fire at an adjacent home and a third was called for support.

About 75 firefighters were at the scene and the fires were extinguished in about 40 minutes.
