SALT LAKE CITY – Chipotle has pulled its sponsorship of the Boy Scouts’ Scout-O-Rama fundraiser.

Donations for the fundraiser have fallen by tens of thousands of dollars. An email sent to scout leaders in the Great Salt Lake Council says the Boy Scouts’ ban on openly gay members is to blame.

Chipotle says the company has pulled its sponsorship for that ban, saying it is discriminatory and against their policy of non-discrimination.

“We believed that terminating the sponsorship and remaining consistent with our policy was the right thing to do,” Chris Arnold, Chipotle’s spokesperson, told FOX 13.
