WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah — A former NASCAR driver was arrested in Washington County after a three-state high-speed chase with police.

The chase began in Nevada on Wednesday morning, Jan. 30, when Timothy Tyler Andrew Walker, who went by Tyler Walker as a NASCAR driver, led police on a chase.

Walker has been charged with possession or use of a controlled substance, possession or use of drugs, and driving under the influence, among others.

Officials from Nevada Highway Patrol, Arizona Department of Public Safety and Utah Highway Patrol pursued a black 2007, BMW 750 Li on I-15 north.

Nevada Highway Patrol initially tried to stop the vehicle for speeding and felony evading.

UHP troopers successfully spiked all four tires on the vehicle at approximately mile marker 2 in Utah. Troopers said Walker initially attempted to flee on foot.

UHP took both Walker, 33, and a female passenger, Raelle Hann McDonald, into custody.

During their investigation, troopers said they found methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and alcohol in the vehicle.

Arizona and Nevada will follow up with additional charges in their respective states.
