A former Kaysville teacher was arrested Monday on multiple counts of sexual abuse involving a minor.
Stephen Niedzwiecki was a teacher and basketball coach at Jefferson Academy. The alleged victim was a student and player on the girl’s basketball team.
According to police, their student/teacher relationship turned sexually abusive in the summer of 2011.
The alleged abuse took place outside of school, in places such as Niedzwiecki’s Bountiful home.
The victim’s parents recently became aware of what occurred and reported it to police. Niedzwiecki was booked into the Davis County Jail.
