Suspect in Midvale stabbing turns himself in

MIDVALE, Utah -- A man suspected of stabbing two people in Midvale Tuesday morning turned himself in to Unified Police.

The incident took place at approximately 5 a.m. at an apartment complex near 150 West and 7200 South.

Police identified the suspect as 28-year-old Justin Llewelyn.

According to Unified Police, Llewelyn knocked on the door an apartment where his ex-wife was and an argument followed. The woman's boyfriend was at the apartment and had a confrontation with Llewelyn as well.

Llewelyn pulled a weapon, stabbed the woman in the arm and the man in the side, according to police. Both victims were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. A child was also home at the time of the incident, but slept through the whole thing.

Llewelyn has a previous criminal history, including a DUI conviction and drug possession charges. Police said he will likely face aggravate assault and aggravated burglary charges regarding the incident in Midvale.
