Utah increased jobs by 2.3 percent in the last year

SALT LAKE CITY – More than 28,000 jobs – or a 2.3 percent increase – were added in Utah in the last year.

Utah’s unemployment rate dropped to 5.2 percent from last October to this October, which is well below the national rate of 7.9 percent. Jobs expanded by 1.4 percent nationwide.

More than 70,000 Utahns are currently unemployed.
