DENVER — Colorado’s Amendment 64 to legalize the cultivation and use of marijuana passed Tuesday night.

Governor John Hickenlooper said after the votes came in he would honor Coloradans wishes and said “we have to respect their will,” according to FOX 13’s sister station KDVR.

The intent of the amendment is to regulate the drug the same way the state regulates the sale of alcohol to people 21 and older.
