BOUNTIFUL, Utah - Police in Bountiful have issued an endangered missing person advisory for 24-year-old Heather Lee Martin and her 6-year-old son Riley James Martin.

The state of Utah has a court order for custody of Riley, who is autistic with communication challenges. Heather's known use of illegal substances negatively impacts her ability to safely and effectively care for Riley, according to police.

The Bountiful Police Dept. says Heather entered a school in Bountiful at 2:17 p.m. on Wednesday and removed Riley without permission.

Heather was last seen wearing a white shirt. She left on foot and appeared anxious, agitated and physically unkempt. It is unknown what vehicle Heather is currently driving or what direction she is heading. She frequents the Salt Lake City area, specifically downtown Salt Lake City.

If anyone has information about this case they are asked to contact Bountiful City Police Department at 801-298-6000.
