LOGAN, Utah – Utah State University’s new state-of-the-art distance education building opened this week.

The 40,000-square-foot building is located on the main campus in Logan and features state-of-the-art classrooms with interactive video broadcast equipment and digital technology. It also meets leadership in energy and environmental guidelines.

Governor Herbert and USU President Stan Albrecht were in Logan for the virtual ribbon cutting. It was broadcast to all 26 campuses and education centers across the state.

“It’s certainly a tribute to Utah State University, but the benefit is to the entire state of Utah,” Governor Herbert said.

Herbert said the remote learning ability across the state will help improve overall education.
