SALT LAKE CITY – Female members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gathered in meeting houses around the world on Saturday for the annual broadcast of the General Relief Society Meeting.
It was the first time the new Relief Society presidency addressed the church from the Conference Center on Temple Square. Linda Burton was called to the presidency in April along with her counselors Carole Stephens and Linda Reeves.
The General Relief Society Meeting precedes the LDS church’s biannual General Conference, which starts next Saturday.
